Catalyst Award Showcase is May 19

The Treasurer’s Diversity Task Force is holding its second annual Purdue Catalyst Award Showcase from 2:30 to 4 p.m. May 19 at Shreve Hall.

The showcase is an opportunity for units under the executive vice president and treasurer’s area to share best practices and be recognized for their efforts to enhance diversity. All of the units nominated for this award have demonstrated exemplary commitment in the areas of diversity recruitment, development, retention, and/or outreach.

Catalyst Award finalists will provide a 10-minute presentation highlighting their programs and key actions in using them successfully. The winning team will receive an emblem of the award plus $5,000 toward enhancing their diversity efforts.

The event is free and open to all members of the Purdue community. Desserts from around the world, flavored Italian soda, teas, and coffee will be available.

Attendees will be able to engage Catalyst Award finalists informally on their initiatives, and take part in their formal presentations.

The winner will be announced at the Purdue Catalyst Award ceremony and reception, scheduled for 2:30-3:30 p.m. June 3 in the Elliott Hall of Music lobby.
