Monday, May 4

-- Final exam period begins; through Saturday.

-- Presentation by candidate for dean of the College of Science. Patricia Rankin, associate vice chancellor for faculty diversity and development and professor of physics, Univ. of Colorado at Boulder. Tuesday, May 5

-- "Who's at Fault? Causes of Our Current Financial Problems and What to Do." Panel of local experts with Purdue moderators at forum by College of Liberal Arts. -- Presentation by candidate for vice provost for diversity and inclusion. Carmen Coustaut, University of Arkansas. 4-5 p.m. West Faculty Lounge, Purdue Memorial Union. Candidates will speak about "Diversity and Inclusion in the 21st Century University," and respond to questions from the audience. (Other forum dates: May 7, 12.) 

Wednesday, May 6

-- "Towards a Theology of Communion." Thomas Norris, priest and professor at St. Patrick's College, Ireland. Religious Studies program and the Aquinas Education Foundation. 7 p.m. Krannert Auditorium, Krannert Building.

-- Presentation by candidate for dean of the College of Science. Robert E. Continetti, chair and Kurt Shuler Scholar in Physical Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Univ. of California at San Diego. Saturday, May 9

-- End of final exam period and end of semester.

Sunday, May 10

-- Fitness film screening. "A Head Start To Exercise" (7 min.) Geared to ages 3-5; children will be able to exercise while film repeats; event will feature games for them also. In the video, former Purdue Golduster Dance team member Lindsey Mayer leads Purdue Pete and a group of Head Start students through a variety of exercise routines. 2-3:30 p.m. Lafayette Theatre, 600 Main St., Lafayette.

-- "Tippecanus Rex." Purdue University Galleries co-sponsoring with Tippecanoe Arts Federation. Works and participation from 14-county region. A whimsical celebration of the unnatural, even mythical, history of Tippecanoe County. Through May 10 at TAF, 638 North St., Lafayette. -- "Shrouds, Masks, and the Floating World: Selections from the Permanent Collection." Purdue University Galleries. This is the first exhibition in a new annual format allowing more extensively researched presentation of works contributed by donors, as well as dedicated use of a gallery for this purpose. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday, plus Thursday until 8 p.m.; 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Events are free unless noted (except that conference registrations may be omitted here). Ticket prices are for single events, not any series or discount offers. An exception to the following will be noted in the listing.

For varsity athletics tickets, call the Athletic Ticket Office, (765) 494-3194 or (800) 49-SPORT [497-7678]; or visit the office in the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility. The office is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and before ticketed events at IAF, Mackey Arena and Ross-Ade Stadium. For ticketed sports events at other Purdue venues, tickets will be on sale before the event at the venue. More at www.purduesports.com.

For Purdue Convocations and Purdue Theatre events and some others as announced, go to ticket offices in Elliott Hall (lower level, northeast end by Hovde Hall) or Stewart Center (west lobby), or call (765) 494-3933 or (800) 914-SHOW [914-7469]. The Elliott Hall box office is open 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and before ticketed events there. The Stewart Center box office is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and before ticketed events there.

Purdue Theatre tickets are sold also at the Pao Hall box office. It is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday and before Purdue Theatre performances there.
