Here are notes on some current and upcoming disruptions on the West Lafayette campus.

-- Pipe installation on North University Street (from north of Victory Drive to south of Cherry Lane) is expected to begin today (March 16) and take 2-3 days. This is for the Mackey Arena Project. During this period, two-way traffic will be available along Beering Drive from Cherry Lane to Victory Drive. Map: www.purdue.edu/physicalfacilities/travel/pdf/University_pipe_install.pdf. For questions or concerns regarding this project, contact Jim Knapp at jrknapp@purdue.edu or 49-43417.

-- Waldron Street between Fourth and Fifth streets including all parking spaces will be closed during spring break (March 16-20) so that upgrades may be made to the fire protection system for the Alpha Chi Omega sorority house. -- Along the north side of Neil Armstrong Hall, the sidewalk will be closed for several hours at some point during spring break (March 16-20) so that snow guards may be installed along the roof perimeter of the building. Emergency exits will be open for POTR but the loading dock will be closed. During this period, there will be a large volume of truck traffic on the drive between the Nuclear Engineering Building and Grissom Hall. The service drive between POTR and Michael Golden Laboratories (MGL) will be limited to deliveries only. There will be no access through this drive to parking behind the Engineering Administration Building (ENAD). All access to that lot will be directed to its south entrance.  -- First Street will be closed Friday, March 27, from 8 a.m. to noon from MacArthur Drive east to the service drive for Shreve, Earhart, and Meredith residence halls. The service drive will remain open. This closure is required so that the base for a sculpture may be installed. Map: www.purdue.edu/physicalfacilities/travel/pdf/1st_st_sculpture_install.pdf.
