Thursday, March 5

-- Literary reading. Fred Arroyo, visiting author and Purdue alumnus. -- Film viewing. "Why We Fight?" (2005, Eugene Jarecki, 98 min.) Committee on Peace Studies in Department of Political Science. 8 p.m. Room B155, Lawson Computer Science Building. Discussion will follow the film, which analyzes what President Eisenhower called the military-industrial complex.

-- Purdue University Galleries. "Shrouds, Masks, and the Floating World: Selections from the Permanent Collection." This is the first exhibition in a new annual format allowing more extensively researched presentation of works contributed by donors, as well as dedicated use of a gallery for this purpose. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday, plus Thursday until 8 p.m.; 1-5 p.m. Sunday. The office is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and before ticketed events at IAF, Mackey Arena and Ross-Ade Stadium. The Elliott Hall box office is open 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and before ticketed events there. Purdue Theatre tickets are sold also at the Pao Hall box office. It is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday and before Purdue Theatre performances there.
