Mortar Board seeking membership nominations

Mortar Board, a national senior honor society that recognizes students for scholarship, leadership, and service, is now accepting nominations for membership into the class of 2010.

Both men and women are eligible to become members. Membership requirements include superior scholarship (a graduate index of at least 3.2), leadership, and service to the University or community.

While there is no limit to the number of juniors one can recommend, please keep in mind that Mortar Board is an honor society aimed at the University’s top students. Please be respectful of the fact that the selection process is highly secretive. Mortar Board would appreciate your help in keeping all nominations completely confidential, including secret from the nominee.

The online nomination form should be completed no later than 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20.  A hard copy of the form is also available for download on the Web site.

The forms and more information can be found at  http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~mortarbd/about.mb/nomination/mortar.board.php.  Thank you for your support of the future of Mortar Board.
