High school freshmen, sophomores invited to 'Exciting Science'

The College of Science at Purdue will present Exciting Science @ Purdue from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 28 in Room 1105, Lilly Hall of Life Sciences.

The program is aimed at high school freshmen and sophomores, and it includes hands-on lab demonstrations, information from mentors in the Women in Science Programs (WISP), and a lunch presentation by Stephanie Gardner, a visiting assistant professor of biological sciences. Gardner will address why it is important for young students to explore careers in science. The program is sponsored by the Women in Science programs.
 
The cost is $10 and the deadline to apply has been extended to Friday (Feb. 13).
