APSAC seeks new members

The Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee is beginning the process to fill seven seats that will become vacant in May.

Twenty-five members serve on APSAC and represent administrative and professional staff from all segments of the Purdue campus community, including regional campuses.

APSAC is encouraging A/P staff within the following units to apply:

-- College of Agriculture, including Cooperative Extension Service. Two representative are needed for this area.

--  College of Engineering.

--  College of Pharmacy, Nursing and Health Sciences; College of Technology.

-- Vice President for Information Technology.

-- Vice President for Housing and Food Services.

--  Intercollegiate Athletics, Senior Vice President for Advancement, Dean of the Graduate School, Vice President for Ethics and Compliance, Vice President for Research, Vice President for Governmental Relations.

Membership applications and instructions may be downloaded from www.purdue.edu/apsac.  The application deadline is Feb. 27.  

The APSAC Membership/Staff Relations Subcommittee will review the submitted applications, conduct interviews in March, and forward nominations to President France A. Córdova for official appointment.

Appointed members will serve for a three-year term, which starts on June 1, 2009, and ends May 31, 2012. New members will be invited to a special Recognition Program on May 13 where they will be introduced to the full committee by their assigned APSAC mentors.
