Purdue Crew to hold Row-a-thon fundraiser on Jan. 31
The Purdue Crew team will hold its fourth annual Row-a-thon from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Jan. 31 at Tippecanoe Mall. The event is a fundraiser for Lafayette Urban Ministry’s centralized relief fund, which provides assistance to local families who need help making utility payments.
The Purdue Crew team will set up rowing machines in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods in the center of the mall. Team members will take turns rowing during one of four three-hour shifts.
Donation tables will be set up at the event. Contributions also can be sent to the Purdue Crew mailbox at the Recreational Sports Center, 355 N. Martin Jischke Drive, West Lafayette, IN 47907-2030. The campus address is RSC. Checks should be made out to "charity crew."
Last year, Purdue Crew raised almost $2,000 at the Row-a-thon.
