Group looking for 'Purdue heroes'

A committee of Purdue faculty and students, working with the Office of the Dean of Students, wants to honor outstanding members of the Purdue family.

The group is seeking individuals who have acted with persistence, selflessness and integrity to overcome adversity, achieve an ambitious goal, or positively influence those around them in their lifetime.

Purdue faculty and staff members are asked to nominate past or present students, faculty or staff who meet these criteria and deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments.

After receiving nominations, the committee will select a group of nominees to be honored as the uncelebrated heroes of Purdue.  The heroes' stories will be shared with the campus community in order to celebrate their actions and inspire others to also be heroes.

To nominate someone as a Purdue hero, visit www.purdueheroes.com and click on "Nominations."

All nominations are due by Friday, Feb. 13.
