Men, women ages 35 to 65 needed for exercise research study

Wayne Campbell, professor of foods and nutrition, is conducting a clinical research study examining the body's response to resistance and aerobic exercise with nutritional supplementation in middle-aged adults.

Measurements will include body composition, body weight, food intake, fitness level, metabolism, and blood hormones.

The study includes a 9-month gym membership to a local health club or the Ismail Center on the Purdue campus, where participants will take part in a resistance and aerobic exercise training program.  During these nine months, participants will also be provided with nutritional supplements to consume each day.

Men and women from the ages of 35 to 65, in general good health, non-smoking, exercising less than two hours/week for the past 6 months, 10-40 pounds overweight, and who would be interested in participating in this study should contact the Campbell Lab at akerriga@purdue.edu or (765) 494-7660 for further information.  Please refer to Study “S17.”
