Reception to honor retiring senior associate registrar

A reception will be held Dec. 18 to mark the retirement of Jeanenne Rothenberger, senior associate registrar for the Office of the Registrar.

The reception will be 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the lobby of Schleman Hall of Student Services. Cake and punch will be served. All faculty and staff are invited to attend.

Rothenberger, who will retire on Dec. 31, has been a teacher, a longtime member of the Office of the Registrar staff, and a business analyst for the TRAX project during her more than 30-year tenure at Purdue.

A Purdue graduate, Rothenberger earned both her bachelor of science and master of science degrees from the University. After earning her master’s degree, she began her teaching career at Purdue in 1967. She also taught math and computer science at Central Catholic High School in Lafayette before returning to Purdue in 1978 to serve as assistant to the registrar for data processing.

She remained at the Office of the Registrar, where she became an associate registrar and a senior associate registrar, until 2000. Working under Joan Vaughan, she served as business analyst with the TRAX project until she returned to the Office of the Registrar in 2005.
