Wednesday, Dec. 3

-- Presentation by internal candidate for dean of the Graduate School. Thomas Farris, professor and head of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. 2-3:15 p.m. Room 214D, STEW. -- "Town Hall Forum for Cultural Diversity." Purdue police Diversity Team. Open to anyone in Purdue community. 7 p.m. Black Cultural Center. Reception following. Questions: 49-49927.

--  Spanish Conversation Tables. For those who know basic Spanish but want to practice their conversational skills in a friendly group atmosphere. All levels of speakers are welcome. 3-4 p.m., Latino Cultural Center (LCC), 600 N. Russell St. More information: 49-42530. NOTE: This will be the last meeting for the fall semester. Tables will resume on Jan. 28, 2009.

-- Purdue University Galleries and Latino Cultural Center. "Humanigration: The Cárdenas Latino Collection." Artworks related to theme of immigration, and thus LCC's ongoing Humanigration project, from collection of Gilberto Cárdenas, Univ. of Notre Dame. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday, plus Thursday until 8 p.m.; 1-5 p.m. Sunday. -- Season of Sharing. Boiler Volunteer Network. Step 1: Visit BVN in Room G4, STEW, and pick an ornament with the name of an area child or family in need (ornaments come from YWCA women's shelter, Salvation Army, Community and Family Resource Center, and American Red Cross). Step 2: Purchase gifts accordingly. Step 3: In week of Dec. 15-19, take gifts unwrapped to BVN for distribution. Questions: BVN at 49-62450 or bvn@purdue.edu.
