Toy drive to benefit children's hospital

The Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering (RCHE) is holding its second Peyton Manning's Children's Hospital Toy Drive.

Toys are needed for children of all ages, but there is an increased need this year for items for teenagers such as books, board games, and games for a gaming cart (DSL, PlayStation and Wii). Items suggested for younger children include toys with lights and sound, character toys and pillowcases, and princess toys.

The toys not only benefit the children who spend their holiday in the hospital, but also will stay at the hospital to be enjoyed by others throughout the year.

This year, RCHE has teamed with several student groups: RCHE Student Ambassadors, Purdue Association of Leaders, Purdue Student Union Board, Health Sciences Student Council, Pre-Med Club, and Boiler Blast. Along with collecting gifts for the hospital, the groups will travel to the children’s hospital in mid-December to host a party.

Donations of gifts may be made at Mann Hall, Suite 225; Boiler Volunteer Network, Room G4, Stewart Center; and the Health Sciences Office, Room 1163, Civil Engineering Building.
