Deadline is Friday for Library Scholars Grant applications

Administered by Purdue University Libraries, the program focuses on supporting access to unique collections of information found around the country and the world.

The grant is available for untenured tenure-track members of the Purdue faculty, and associate professors tenured effective July 1, 2006, or later. Awards of up to $5,000 will be made, with grant-supported activities to be completed by Dec. 31, 2009.

Grant funds can be used for expenses associated with travel to archives or collections beyond Purdue, including the cost of transportation, lodging, meals, and fees charged by the library or other collection owner for access, photocopying, scanning, etc.
