Lecture to focus on Islamic economics

The Purdue Center for International Business Education and Research is sponsoring a lecture on the "Philosophy of Islamic Economics, Banking, and Finance in the Global Economy" on Nov. 11.

The event will feature Dr. Muhammad Amin Ali Qattan, director of Islamic Economics Unit, Centre of Excellence in Management, College of Business Administration, Kuwait University. Qattan will discuss the origin and development, characteristics, constraints and goals of Islamic economics.

The lecture will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Krannert Auditorium, Room 140, Krannert Building. A reception will follow at 6:30 p.m. in Weiler Lounge,
Krannert Center for Executive Education and Research.
