Reminder: Give Purdue Libraries your feedback on services

Purdue Libraries is asking faculty and students to complete an online survey designed to measure the quality of its services.

The survey, called LibQUAL+™, was e-mailed as a link to all faculty and students on Oct. 6. In order to give more patrons an opportunity to participate, the survey deadline has been extended to Oct. 31, and a final reminder e-mail with a link to the survey was sent on Oct. 23. The survey will be available as a link on the Libraries homepage, www.lib.purdue.edu, during the final week of the survey.

James L. Mullins, Dean of Libraries, said the survey provides vital information about user perceptions and will be used to assess and evaluate information resources, services and facilities. The survey also will show where the Libraries excel and where they can be improved.

Purdue first conducted the LibQUAL+™ survey in 2005, and the results helped shape the Libraries current strategic plan. The survey also led to specific improvements, including new digital collections in the Humanities, Social Science, and Education Library, new digital document delivery services, a redesigned Web site and the online megasearch tool that allows users to search for journal articles across multiple databases.

The LibQUAL+™ survey consists of 39 questions. For more information, visit www.lib.purdue.edu/info/libqual.
