Woodman Lecture to feature Stanford professor

The English Department and the College of Liberal Arts are sponsoring the annual Leonora Woodman Lecture. The lecture will be at 4:30 p.m. today (Oct. 23) in Room 206, Stewart Center. This year's distinguished speaker is Roland Greene, professor at Stanford University,

Greene's lecture, "Between Poetry and Prose: Figures of Power and Resistance in Early Modern Writing," is free and open to the public. 

Greene's work provides an innovative, interdisciplinary model for anyone interested in current theories of power and resistance.  He is an engaging and entertaining speaker, and his lecture promises to be accessible to
scholars working across a wide range of fields.
