October 15, 2008 Reminder: Suggest book for common reading experienceFaculty, staff and students can suggest a book to be used as part of Purdue's common reading experience, a program to be implemented for entering students in fall 2009. Recommendations should be made by end of day Sunday, Oct. 19. The program's mission is to provide a common academic experience for all new students. The reading experience will be linked with other programs, events and campus activities throughout the students' first year at Purdue. A book selection committee made up of faculty, staff, and students will begin reviewing book suggestions during the next few weeks and will choose the book for fall 2009 before the end of fall 2008 semester. The book will be distributed to new beginning and transfer students during the summer advising and registration program.
