Faculty, staff asked to nominate students for service award
Faculty and staff are invited to nominate students for Community Activity Recognition Awards, sponsored by Greater Lafayette Commerce. The awards are for Purdue students who go above and beyond the average call for local community service.
Faculty and staff who are interested should identify one to three students from their school or department who have provided exemplary service to the local community. Faculty and staff need to send the students' names, e-mail addresses and mailing addresses to the Greater Lafayette Commerce office by Nov. 7. Nomination information should be e-mailed to Debby Beaver at dbeaver@greaterlafayettecommerce.com.
Greater Lafayette Commerce will e-mail participation forms to each student requesting more information about their involvement in the community, their academic accomplishments, and their plans for the future.
A panel of judges consisting of Greater Lafayette Commerce members from the University Relations Committee will then select the students who will be named as the 2009 recipients of this award.
Typically, about three students are selected. These recipients will receive special recognition and a plaque during a Purdue women’s basketball game.
