Men and women 65 and older needed for research study

Healthy, active and fit men and women age 65 and older are needed for a research study in the Department of Foods and Nutrition.

The study will examine the body's response to resistance and will require six days of testing over five to six weeks. Measurements will include body weight, body composition (fat mass and fat-free mass), aerobic fitness, strength assessment, physical and mental well-being, and food intake.

Interested volunteers should be age 65 or older, in general good health, non-smoking, normal weight, perform at least 30 minutes of aerobic activity two times a week, and perform at least two days of resistance exercise a week.

For more information contact the Campbell lab at 49-63543 or camplab@purdue.edu. Refer to the study as the "S18" study.
