Faculty encouraged to attend distance ed workshop this week

ITaP's Distance Education Incentive Awards program will kick off with a faculty intensive workshop, scheduled for this Thursday and Friday, May 8-9.

The program is open to faculty at Purdue University West Lafayette and the statewide technology sites who have developed or are interested in developing a distance education course in a learning management system, such as Blackboard Vista. Hybrid or blended classes are not eligible.

Faculty who develop the top ten distance education courses will receive a $3,000 incentive award from the Instructional Development Center (IDC), and will be recognized at the 2009 Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT) Conference awards presentation.
