Fans invited to join fellow Boilermakers at Big Ten tournament headquarters

The Purdue Alumni Association and the John Purdue Club will host all Boilermaker fans at the Alcatraz Brewing Company Restaurant & Brewery this weekend for the men's Big Ten basketball tournament.

Purdue Alumni Association staff will be at Alcatraz two-and-a-half hours before each game, but the Alcatraz Brewing Company will be the place to gather all day long, before and after the games.

On Friday, March 14, there will be a pep rally at 4:30 p.m. to get fans ready for the 6:30 p.m. game at Conseco Fieldhouse. Come to the Alcatraz Brewing Company and get fired up for the game with the pep band and spirit squad. Kirk Cerny, executive director and CEO of the Purdue Alumni Association, and Morgan Burke, director of Intercollegiate Athletics, will be there to welcome fans.

The Alcatraz Brewing Company is planning for a big crowd and will have special menus to order from for quick service. Fans in Purdue gear will be rewarded with free snacks and soft drinks for two-and-a-half hours before game time. Pick up Purdue trinkets and enter the drawing for a musical Purdue Pete.

The Alcatraz Brewing Company is located in the Circle Centre Mall next to the Canterbury Hotel. This will be the gathering place for all Boilermaker fans.
