-- Ken Rinaldo: Robotic Installations. Stewart Center Gallery will exhibit "Autotelematic Spider Bots" with real-time interaction with public and self-modified behavior. The Spider Bots will function for 15-minute periods at 10:30 a.m. and at 12:30, 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. daily. Robert L. Ringel Gallery will present the installation work "Machinic Drift," a series of 3-D images. -- "Beakman Live!" Convocations, Family Adventures. 7 p.m. Loeb. $14-$10.

-- Opening reception for "Her Crowning Glory: Hats of the African-American Community" exhibition at the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette, 102 S. 10th St., Lafayette. 7-9 p.m. The hats have been worn in Lafayette churches by African-American women, who have provided stories with each hat. Exhibition co-sponsored by Black Cultural Center in conjunction with April 4-6 musical "Crowns" at Long Center, Lafayette. Exhibition is through April 12; hours 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
