Course designed to help prep for MCAT

Purdue Continuing Education and Conferences is offering a Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) preparation course during the spring semester. The course, sponsored by the Department of Chemistry, will meet Saturdays and Sundays, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., January 19 through April 13.

The course is based on the principle that the best MCAT test preparation is attained by working on actual MCAT questions developed by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), who administers the MCAT, rather than questions and tests created by commercial test preparation companies.

In course sessions, instructors will review questions from AAMC MCAT practice tests that apply to the material covered in that session. Students also will take practice tests online, ultimately completing all the available AAMC MCAT practice tests during the course, for the most thorough preparation for the MCAT examination. The registration fee for the 24-course session is $499.
