Funeral Friday for Andrew T. Jackson, Purdue student and hockey player
The funeral for Purdue Hockey Club player Andrew T. Jackson will be at 2 p.m. Friday (Dec. 7) at St. Hubert Catholic Community Church in Chanhassen, Minn.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 6) at Huber Funeral Homes in Eden Prairie, Minn.
A Purdue bus with the hockey club will leave Thursday to attend the funeral.
Jackson, a freshman in the College of Engineering, died and seven others on the club were injured when the van in which they were riding slid off Indiana 25 Saturday afternoon near the Tippecanoe-Montgomery county border. The club was on its way to Danville, Ill., for its final game of the fall semester.
A memorial fund has been established for Jackson at Wells Fargo Bank. All contributions will benefit the Purdue Hockey Club. Contributions can be made at any Wells Fargo bank or mailed directly to: Andrew T. Jackson Memorial Fund, c/o Wells Fargo Bank, P.O. Box 849, Chanhassen, MN 55317.
