Rueff Galleries close fall semester with 3 exhibits

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The upcoming exhibits at Purdue University's Patti and Rusty Rueff Galleries feature artwork from visual communications, interior design and painting.

Rueff Galleries, located in the Yue-Kong Pao Hall of Visual and Performing Arts, 552 W. Wood St., are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Gallery exhibits are free and open to the public.

East Gallery exhibit:

Nov. 13-21, "Terrain," by Steven Driscoll Hixson, a visiting professor of visual communications design. He received a master's of fine arts degree from the University of Michigan and has exhibited his prints throughout the United States, the Czech Republic and China. The opening reception is 6-8 p.m. on Thursday (Nov. 16).

West Gallery exhibits:

Nov. 13-17, "Acousthetics" by interior design graduate student Shahzadi Israr. An opening reception will take place from 5-7 p.m. Monday (Nov. 13), followed by a brown bag lecture at noon on Wednesday (Nov. 15).

Nov. 27 to Dec. 1, "deixis" is an exhibition of paintings by graduate student Victoria Stetler. Stetler will be giving a lecture on her artwork at noon on Nov. 29. The opening reception is 5-7 p.m. on Nov. 30.
