Purdue Musical Organizations groups to take shows on roadWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Members of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club and Purduettes will perform at a number of locations across the United States during the university's Oct. 7-10 fall break.
The Varsity Glee Club will head west to Iowa and Nebraska. The group will perform before the Purdue vs. University of Iowa football game on Oct. 7 for the Purdue Alumni Association. On Oct. 8 the Glee Club will perform at Vine Congregational Church and First Presbyterian Church, both in Lincoln, Neb.
The group will participate in the Men's Choral Festival at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and perform in the Oct. 9 festival concert. The group's final performance will be at a convocation on Oct. 10 at Elkhorn High School in Lincoln.
The Purduettes will hit the road a day early for a series of performances on Oct. 6 in Cincinnati. The group will perform at two morning convocations at Sycamore Junior High School, in the afternoon at the Seasons Retirement Village and at a celebration service at the Temple Sholom.
On Oct. 7 the Purduettes will take a riverboat cruise aboard the River Queen and attend the Cincinnati Ballet. The group will perform at an Oct. 8 morning service at Holy Cross Immaculata Church in Cincinnati. That afternoon, the Purduettes will perform at Central Christian Church in Lexington, Ky.
More than 60 students are members of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club and more than 40 students make up the Purduettes.
