Purdue Sings, now in its fourth year, will bring high school vocalists and choirs from around the state to the university for "An American Salute: Remembering 9/11" at 4 p.m. on the steps of Hovde Hall.

"This event gives high school students a chance to interact with Purdue performers and learn about musical opportunities here at Purdue," said Brian Breed, director of Purdue Musical Organizations.

Jan Mills, mayor of West Lafayette, Tony Roswarski, mayor of Lafayette, and Rep. Sheila Klinker, D-Lafayette, are all scheduled to speak at the performance.

The concert is free and open to the public.
