Purdue students to serve as CFS ambassadors
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Several Purdue University students will serve as ambassadors for the College of Consumer and Family Sciences during the 2006-07 academic year.The ambassadors assist in undergraduate recruitment activities during which they participate in panel discussions to tell high school students what it is like to be a college student, give tours of the College of Consumer and Family Sciences' classrooms and laboratories or escort prospective students to classes.
Ambassadors also work with the director of alumni relations by welcoming alumni who are visiting campus, as well as attending Homecoming festivities and Gala Weekend activities.
Each of the students was selected based on a written application, transcripts and an interview.
