Polygraph Lounge to perform at University Inn Feb. 24

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Comedy and music will blend together when Polygraph Lounge performs next week at the University Inn Ballroom.

Musicians Rob Schwimmer and Mark Stewart, known for their warped and wild collaboration, will take the stage at 8 p.m. Feb. 24. Soprano Melissa Fathman also will join the group. University Inn is located at 3001 Northwestern Ave. in West Lafayette.

Conceived in New York City's Lower East Side, Polygraph Lounge brings comedy to a variety of musical artists and current events. The duo follows in the footsteps of comedians Spike Jones, Firesign Theatre and Tom Lehrer, and they put a quirky spin on everything from nose flutes to Moby Dick.

Schwimmer and Stewart are both well-known in the music scene and have appeared or recorded with Paul Simon, Paul McCartney, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Queen Latifah and Bette Midler.

The performance may contain adult language. Purdue Convocations is sponsoring the event.

Tickets range from $22 to 28 and are available at campus box offices or by phone at (765) 494-3933 or (800) 914-SHOW. Tickets also are available at all Ticketmaster outlets.
