Indiana farm family of the year to be honored at Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Perkins family, operators of Twin Creek Farm in LaGrange County, will be honored Thursday (Dec. 1) by Purdue University's agronomy and animal sciences departments as the 2005 Indiana farm family of the year.

The farm, operated by Jim and Linda Perkins, their five children and their families, includes 2,500 acres and 160 dairy cows in Wolcottville.

A presentation to the Perkins family will be from 2:30-3 p.m. in Lilly Hall, Room 2-425, with a reception following. The Indiana farm family of the year award is sponsored by Indiana AgriNews, Beck's Hybrids and the Indiana Department of Agriculture.
