Students participate in Laval University study tour
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Thirty-eight members of the Purdue University Honors Program traveled to Laval University in Quebec as part of a recent study tour.
The tour's focus was U.S.-Canadian relations, and the program also was designed to develop a lifelong interest in other cultures and worldviews. The Laval University Study Tour was unusual in that it exposed first-year students to an international experience before the start of fall semester classes.
Tour highlights included seminars taught by Laval faculty, visits to Parliament and the Citadel of Quebec. Canada Border Services Agency officials also took students on a tour of the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel.
