The festival, sponsored by the Indiana Wine Grape Council located at Purdue University, includes more than 100 wines to sample from 15 Indiana wineries. The event also features cooking and wine demonstrations, live music, foods from local restaurants, and a children's fun area.

"The farmer's market is new this year and should complement the other activities," said Jeanette Merritt, marketing director for the Indiana Wine Grape Council. "Indiana doesn't have much fresh produce this time of year, but there will be plants, honey and other country products to purchase."

The Radio Disney KidZone is a carnival-like, interactive attraction with a Disney theme. It includes carnival games, miniature golf and ice cream for an additional cost.

Cooking and wine demonstrations will take place in the Wine and Food Experience Pavilion. Jill Ditmire of WFYI-TV's "The Good Life" will be the host.

Live music will be performed by Ann McWilliams, Tad Robinson and Jennie Devoe, featuring music from soul to jazz.

Festival tickets are available online. Marsh Supermarkets and participating wineries also will sell tickets. Advance ticket prices are $16 for adults (21 years and older), $8 for designated drivers and $5 for youth. Children under 5 are free. Tickets also can be purchased at the event for $19 for adults, $8 for designated drivers and $5 for youths. All guests will be required to show proof of age at the gate.

More information about the festival is available online or by calling (800) 832-WINE. Proceeds from the Vintage Indiana Wine and Food Festival benefit the Indiana Wine Grape Council, which promotes the development of the state's wine and grape industry.
