Matt Sharp to bring concert tour through Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Matt Sharp, formerly of The Rentals and '90s band Weezer, will perform with opening act Goldenboy at 8 p.m. Monday (Oct. 4) in Purdue Memorial Union's South Ballroom.

Sharp's concert is being presented by the Purdue Student Union Board (PSUB). The student organization, which develops programs by students for students, provides a variety of entertainment sources, from concerts to weekly feature films to dinner theater.

"This concert will be more personal than other concerts we've sponsored," said Brett Howard, PSUB director of concerts. "It promises to be a lot of fun because the audience will become involved in the show."

Tickets are $8 for Purdue students and $13 for the general public and are available at Loeb Box Office.
