June 23, 2004 Agribusiness workshop to cover customer management techniquesWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - An agribusiness seminar designed to help develop and implement customer relationship management strategies will take place June 28-29 at Purdue University. The seminar will introduce tools and techniques that support the customer relationship management process, cover new ideas on building and deepening those relationships, and provide the opportunity to network with other agribusiness managers. "We explore how agribusiness managers can craft focused strategies for their business in response to critical management questions," said Jay Akridge, director of Purdue's Center for Food and Agricultural Business and seminar co-instructor. Paul Wang, associate professor in integrated marketing communications at Northwestern University, will join Akridge in leading the workshop. Among those who would benefit from the seminar are agribusiness marketing managers, sales managers, customer-support managers, marketing communications managers, and information systems and database managers. The registration fee for the seminar is $895 and includes program meals and materials, facilities (except lodging), and instruction. Limited space is available. For more information and to register go online or contact the Center for Food and Agricultural Business at (765) 494-4247.
