Purdue police looking for residence hall voyeur

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to watch a female student shower on Sunday (4/11) morning.

Deputy Chief Steven R. Dietrich said the victim was showering at approximately 6 a.m. on the second floor of Owen Hall, where she lives. While she was showering, a man wearing a ski mask pulled back the shower curtain and was watching her.

The victim screamed and threw a bar of soap at the man, and he ran from the shower area. He was seen leaving Owen Hall and driving away in a 1980s-model, charcoal-gray Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable, Dietrich said.

Dietrich said the suspect is a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs between 150 and 160 pounds. He had short, brown hair, and, in addition to the ski mask, he wore a black shirt, pants and gloves.

Anyone with information should contact the Purdue Police Department (765) 494-8221.
