April 5, 2004 Ben Folds to perform at Purdue on May 1WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Pianist-singer Ben Folds, formerly of the group Ben Folds Five, will perform at 8 p.m. on May 1 in Purdue University's Elliott Hall of Music. Presented by the Purdue Student Concert Committee, Fold's stop at Purdue is part of his Campus Invasion Tour. Previously the lead of Ben Folds Five, Folds is now touring solo. In February 2002 he began the Ben Folds and a Piano tour in the United States. His 2002 solo tour was captured on his first-ever live album, "Ben Folds Live," which features the hit "Brick" as well as a cover of Elton John's "Tiny Dancer." All tickets are $25 and include all applicable service fees. Tickets are available at campus box offices beginning Thursday (4/8) for Purdue students, faculty and staff. General public sales begin Friday (4/9) at any campus box office and at Ticktetmaster outlets.
