John Mayer to perform at Purdue on March 24

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – John Mayer and special guest Guster will perform in the Elliott Hall of Music at 7:30 p.m. on March 24.

Presented by Purdue's Student Concert Committee, this is Mayer's only scheduled Indiana appearance.

Mayer's 2001 debut album "Room for Squares," released when he was just 22 years old, went triple platinum, and after two years on the road, the singer/guitarist has recently released a follow-up album titled "Heavier Things." East Coast-based special guest Guster recently released its fourth album and will begin touring with Mayer in early March.

Ticket price is $36.75 which includes all applicable fees.

Campus ticket sales begin Jan. 23. Purdue students, staff and faculty can participate in a lottery between 8 a.m. Friday (1/16) and 10 a.m. Tuesday (1/20). Students may sign up for the lottery on SSINFO, and staff and faculty should visit Purdue Convocation's Web site. Purchase times will be assigned and posted by 10 a.m. Wednesday (1/21).

Public ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. on Jan. 24 at any Ticketmaster outlet.
