Recreational Sports Center offers 'Recess with Rowdy'

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Recreational Sports Center at Purdue University is inviting students to "Recess with Rowdy" from 8 p.m. to midnight Thursday, Nov. 29.

Rowdy, Purdue Pete's sidekick, will be on hand while Purdue students participate in typical recess activities, including kickball, whiffleball, dodge ball, hopscotch, four square and jacks. Andy Milton, assistant director of marketing for the Recreational Sports Center, says he hopes students take advantage of the opportunity to have some fun before exam preparation kicks into high gear.

"This is an opportunity for students to relax and enjoy some classic recreational games and activities at the end of the semester," Milton says.

Free food and drinks will be provided. Milton says if enough students participate in the event, Rowdy promises to stand on his head.
