October 22, 2001 Purdue Extension organizations elect officersWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service associations and an honorary fraternity elected new officers during the annual Purdue Extension conference Oct. 16-18. The organizations and their officers are: Indiana Extension Educators Association Jeff Holland, Monroe County, youth educator, president; Janet Allen, Shelby County, 4-H youth educator, vice president; Bill Rice, Hamilton County, agriculture and natural resources educator, treasurer; Jerry Nelson, Knox County, Extension director, secretary; and Mike Ferree, Bartholomew County, Extension director, past president. Officers of associations within IEEA are: Consumer and Family Sciences Association Terri Newcom, Tipton County, consumer and family sciences educator, president; Jackie Baumann, Putnam County, consumer and family sciences educator, vice president; and Diane Roell-Paris, Decatur County, Extension director, secretary. 4-H Youth Association Kendall Martin, Dubois County, 4-H youth educator, president; Holly Butler, Marion County, 4-H youth educator, vice president; Kris Goff, Grant County, 4-H youth educator, secretary; and Kelly Pearson, Warren County, Extension director, past president. Agricultural and Natural Resources Association Craig Williams, Cass County, Extension director, president; Bill Horan, Wells County, agricultural and natural resources educator, vice president; and Gary Horner, Miami County, Extension director, secretary. Leadership and Community Development Association Phil Gordon, Elkhart County, Extension director, president; Michael Reetz, Pulaski County, leadership and community development educator, vice-president; and Karen Dezarn, Pulaski County, Extension director, secretary. The new officers of Epsilon Sigma Phi, the Indiana chapter of the national honorary Extension fraternity are: Janet Gordon, 4-H youth program leader, president; Emily Remster, Porter County, retired educator, vice president; Mark Russell, animal sciences Extension specialist, secretary; Beverly Morgan, Huntington County, consumer and family sciences educator, treasurer; Floyd Branson, Extension assistant director, annalist; Glenna Hanks Wade, Lake County, consumer and family sciences educator, past president. The new officers of the Purdue Cooperative Extension Specialist Association (PUCESA) are: Aadron Rausch, specialist in the Department of Consumer and Family Sciences, president; Janet Bechman, specialist in the Department of Consumer and Family Sciences and Retailing, president-elect; Alan Miller, specialist in the Department of Agricultural Economics, treasurer; Tim Haley, specialist in the Food Science Department, secretary; and Natalie Carroll, 4-H youth specialist, past president.
