October 5, 2001 Runners, walkers invited to Purdue Red Ribbon Week event WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Runners and walkers are invited to register for the Oct. 20 Purdue Red Ribbon Week Walk/Run. The event, sponsored by University Residences, begins at 8 a.m. in front of Wiley Hall, which also serves as the finish line. Participants can run a five-kilometer route or walk one and a half miles. There is a $10 entry fee. Forms are available by calling (765) 494-2312. Participants who preregister by Oct. 12 will receive a commemorative T-shirt on the morning of the event. All proceeds go to the Purdue Red Ribbon Week Fund, which provides money for education, training and counseling in the prevention of drug use and abuse. CONTACT: T.R.
