September 28, 2001 'Frank Lloyd Wright' performance moved to Fowler HallWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. "Frank Lloyd Wright," a one-man show based on the life of the famous architect, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (10/2) in Fowler Hall. Admission is $22 for general public, $15 for Purdue students and children K-12. Tickets can be purchased at Purdue box offices or charged by phone at (765) 494-3933 or (800) 914-SHOW. "Frank Lloyd Wright" is presented by Purdue Convocations. The performance was originally scheduled to be in Purdues Experimental Theatre, but was moved to the larger Fowler Hall due to higher than anticipated ticket sales. The play is written and performed by John Crowther, a Los Angeles-based actor, writer and director. He is the son of Bosley Crowther, the late New York Times film critic. Crowther recently appeared off-Broadway in the one-man play "Einstein," which he also directed. In 1994, he directed a production of David Mamets "Oleanna" in Rome, and in 1996 he directed the world premiere of Willard Simms "Wright from America" at the Zephyr Theatre in Los Angeles. This presentation is being held in conjunction with the Art Museum of Greater Lafayettes exhibition, "Frank Lloyd Wrights Samara: Winged Seeds of Indiana."
