September 14, 2001 Blue Collar Comedy Tour rescheduled for Sept. 29WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Blue Collar Comedy Tour, starring Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall, which was scheduled for today (Friday, 9/14) has been postponed until 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in the Elliott Hall of Music. Tickets for the originally scheduled show will be honored for the rescheduled performance. Those unable to attend on Sept. 29 should contact the Elliott Hall box office by 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, to arrange for a refund. "At this time of deep national sorrow, it seems only appropriate that this performance not happen this weekend," said Purdue Convocations director Todd Wetzel. "We are pleased, however, to be able to find a time in the near future where this show can serve as what will certainly be a much-needed release for those who have been touched by Tuesday’s tragic events." Dan Whitney, aka Larry the cable guy, will be unable to participate as one of the opening acts as planned due to previous commitments for the rescheduled date.
