August 10, 2001 Purdue Memorial Union adds a new restaurant WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Frozen yogurt fans have a new place to go to satisfy their craving. Freshëns will open Tuesday (8/14) on the ground floor of the Purdue Memorial Union. Gary Goldberg, director of PMU dining services, says Freshëns should be a popular addition to the union's food fare. "Freshëns will add another dimension to our existing quick service dining options in the union," Goldberg says. "Our customers are sure to enjoy the menu items that Freshëns offers." In addition to frozen yogurt, Freshëns also will serve hot pretzels and smoothies created to order. Smoothie flavors include tropical fruit, orange and yogurt. Smoothies with MET-Rx® nutritional boosters also will be offered. Freshëns will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
