Updated travel directions around road construction zones near campus are available on the Web. EVENTS ** Tuesday and Wednesday, March 20-21. 7:30 a.m. 87th Annual Purdue Road School. Stewart Center. Transportation experts and government official discuss road-related research, resources and other topics. The conference is free and open to the public. Attendees should register at the east foyer of Stewart Center. Thursday, March 22. 7 p.m. "Through the Eyes of Tomorrow." Fowler Hall, Stewart Center. Krannert Graduate Student Organization is sponsoring this Black History Month program. Friday, March 23. 8:30 a.m. Introducing Purdue. An on-campus program for sophomores and juniors. The program consists of an information fair, meetings with academic schools and campus tours. ** Saturday and Sunday, March 24-25. 20th annual Holocaust Remembrance Conference titled "Changing Our Beliefs." The conference will focus on the need to affirm history and accept responsibility. Purdue President Martin C. Jischke will open the conference, followed by keynote speaker Michael Shermer, author of "Denying History: Who Says the Holocaust Never Happened and Why Do They Say It?" Purdue Engineering Student Council is conducting this outreach program for elementary students. Sunday, March 25. Noon. Miss Purdue Scholarship Pageant. Long Center for the Performing Arts, 111 N. Sixth St., Lafayette. Miss Purdue Scholarship Foundation is sponsoring this program. ** Monday, April 2. Noon - 5 p.m. School of Veterinary Medicine's 14th Annual Phi Zeta Research Day. Lynn Hall, Room G167. Program will include presentations of ongoing research and clinical investigations by faculty and graduate students. Keynote address at 4 p.m. by Jeffrey Boehm, vice president of research and veterinary medicine at the John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Ill. Topic: "Belugas ... a Case Study in Education, Research and Conservation at the John G. Shedd Aquarium." Wednesday, April 4. 2 p.m. Interview with the President. Purdue President Martin C. Jischke will have an interview with Dan Skinner on WBAA AM-920. ** .Saturday, April 7. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Purdue Engineering Student Council will sponsor "Envision" at Purdues Engineering Mall. The event is an opportunity for elementary school students, prospective Purdue students, current Purdue students, parents and the community to learn first-hand about engineering. The annual awards ceremony in honors outstanding faculty members universitywide and in each of the undergraduate schools. A musical that commemorates the 150th anniversary of the opening of the West by the pioneers. A part of the new Family Adventures series presented by Purdue Convocations. Tickets are $7 for the public and $5 for students. ** Thursday through Saturday, April 12-14 and 17-21. 8 p.m. "Side Man." Experimental Theatre, Stewart Center. The Tony Award winning memory play captures the pulse of the New York jazz scene over three decades and portrays the turmoil in a jazz musician's family as his career crumbles at the dawn of the age of rock-and-roll. Joshua Rubenstein, northeast regional director of Amnesty International USA, will speak on "A Monstrous Case: The Trial of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee in 1952."
