WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Eleven Indiana youths are headed to Atlanta, Ga., for the National 4-H Congress on Nov. 24 to Nov. 28.

National 4-H Congress is a gathering of 4-H youths from across the country. The annual event's objectives are: stimulating educational experiences for 4-H members; motivating 4-H members to greater effort and to recognize their achievements; providing opportunity for industrial, agricultural and educational leaders to contribute to the development of young people; and focusing public attention on the 4-H program's values.

Congress delegates are selected by the state. Youths interested in attending must submit an application along with supporting evidence of 4-H achievements and activities to their counties. The counties forward the applications to the state 4-H office where a committee determines state delegates.

The 4-Hers selected for the trip are: Marianne Allsop, daughter of Wayne and Judy Allsop of North Liberty, Ind.; Carol Althaus, daughter of William and Doris Althaus of Greenfield, Ind.; Sarah Bradley, daughter of Danny and Dianne Bradley of Newburgh, Ind.; Jennifer Korff, daughter of Warren and Mary Korff of Poseyville Ind.; Beth Kuester, daughter of Pamela Kuester of Fort Branch, Ind.; Chris Leslie, son of Jerry and Marilyn Leslie of Chandler, Ind.; Sara Mahoney, daughter of Paul and Judy Mahoney of LaCrosse, Ind.; Christa Rentchler, daughter of Robert and Joann Rentchler of Tennyson, Ind.; Christine Schaubert, daughter of Sharon Schaubert and the late Robert Schaubert of Goshen Ind.; Rachel Sipple, daughter of Jerald and Colleen Sipple of Clarks Hill, Ind.; and Anna Wilson, daughter of H.D. and Edie Dyer Wilson of Sullivan, Ind.
