February 11, 2000 Student Concert Committee brings in Third Eye BlindWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Third Eye Blind will play the Elliott Hall of Music on the campus of Purdue University at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 25. The concert is presented by the Purdue Student Concert Committee in cooperation with JAM Productions of Chicago. Currently touring in support of its latest album, "Blue," the four-man band from the San Francisco Bay area debuted with a 14-track self-titled album in 1997 which produced such hits as "How's It Going To Be," "Graduate," and "Semi-Charmed Life." That same year the band played select dates on both The Rolling Stones and U2 tours. Tickets are $25 for Purdue students and the public. Tickets will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at campus box offices. Patrons may charge by phone at (765) 494-3933 or (800) 914-SHOW. Tickets will also be available through Ticketmaster. Purdue students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to buy ahead of the public starting at 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21. Students may sign up to be assigned a time to buy tickets early via the SSINFO Web site, beginning at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, and continuing through noon Thursday, Feb. 17. The Web site can be accessed by any Purdue student from any computer with Internet access. Students should check under the category "student life," for "SCC concert ticket times." Faculty and staff may sign up in the lobby of Elliott Hall of Music from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16. If a faculty or staff member is also a student, he or she should sign up as a student. Faculty and staff will need to present valid Purdue identification to sign up for a purchase time. All requests for purchase times will then be randomized and assigned times beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21. These times will be posted at the Stewart Center and Elliott Hall box offices as well as on the SSINFO Web site by 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17. Staff times will be posted by 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18. Students, faculty and staff should note that credit cards will not be accepted on Feb. 21 and that there is a limit of six tickets per person. Assigned times will be posted by the last six digits of the individual's Social Security number for faculty/staff and by student ID number for students. Bring valid Purdue identification to your purchase time. If a student or staff member cannot make the purchase time they have been assigned, they may send a proxy in their stead as long as the proxy has the original person's Purdue ID.
