Industrial Roundtable to feature 300 companiesWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue's Memorial Mall will become a plaza of opportunity for thousands of students during the 20th Annual Industrial Roundtable on Wednesday, Sept. 15.Sponsored by the Purdue Engineering Student Council, the event will bring nearly 300 companies to the West Lafayette campus to recruit full-time employees, summer interns and cooperative education students in the fields of engineering, management and technology. The career fair, which is the largest student-run event of its kind in the United States, will be held on the Memorial Mall from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The rain location is the Purdue Armory. On Tuesday, Sept. 14, approximately 40 company representatives will conduct seminars on the third floor of Stewart Center from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on topics ranging from career opportunities to job-search strategies. A free tabloid containing information about the Industrial Roundtable, the seminars and the job fair will be available in all engineering buildings on campus, the Center for Career Opportunities in Stewart Center, and the Potter Engineering Library. It contains information on all the companies attending, their locations at the job fair and the major areas of study they seek in their recruitment efforts.
