Extension staff earn tenure awardsWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Tenure-award winners were recognized at the annual Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service Conference at Purdue.Recipients of the 1998 U.S. Department of Agriculture Tenure Award are: Thirty years -- Donald Scott, Department of Botany and Plant Pathology; Cathy Seymoure, Noble County; and Darrel Thomas, Putnam County. Twenty years -- Jane Renee Darkis, Knox County; Dorothy Keeton, Jefferson County; Nancy King, Hancock County; Stan Knafel, Elkhart County; W. Alan Miller, Department of Agricultural Economics; Susan Neher, Howard County; Janet Stafford, Madison County; and David Trotter, Clark County. Receiving the 1998 School of Agriculture Tenure Certificate were: Thirty-five years -- Richard Rusk, Cass County. Thirty years -- Darrel Thomas, Putnam County.
