Perot to speak in Purdue armory Thursday

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue University officials today (Friday, 10/11) confirmed that Reform Party presidential candidate H. Ross Perot will speak on campus at 7 p.m. Thursday (10/17).

Perot is scheduled to speak in the Purdue Armory, near Third and University streets. The event is sponsored by a student organization, the Reform Party of Purdue University. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The Armory can accommodate about 1,500 people. Arrangements also are under way to offer a live video relay to a second building in the event of an overflow crowd.

Students issued the invitation to Perot earlier this year. The candidate accepted the invitation this week. Arrangements were approved Friday afternoon by the university.
